About me

I love what I do. Writing is my passion and I am fascinated with ‘how’ and ‘why’ words work. Professionally trained by the British Institute of Copywriting, I have a background in marketing, sales and customer service, which extends over 15 years.

Based in the multi-faceted city of Brighton and Hove, I have access to a vast pool of talent and resources in the creative industries and digital media sector. Working collaboratively with others means that I can help you develop new and inspiring ways of communicating with your customers.

I work on a freelance and subcontract basis; writing for commercial businesses as well as charity and not-for-profit organisations from diverse industries across the UK. My specialties are promotional copywriting and content marketing, which include copy for websites and digital media; direct mail and e-marketing campaigns; brochures, leaflets and fliers; press releases and articles; adverts and editorials; exhibition graphics and brand concepts; scripts for TV and radio commercials.

What is promotional copywriting?

You could say that promotional copywriting is an art and a science.

It involves the creative use of words and images to express core messages in a way that evokes a reaction from your audience.

Using the strategic placement of key words, it can persuade your reader into taking a specific and measurable action.

Ultimately, promotional copywriting is an emotional business: it’s about tapping into what people feel, believe, desire and value.  When you do that, you really start connecting people.
